The ADC122S051 is a low-power, dual-channel, high-speed serial interface CMOS 12-bit analog-to-digital converter. The difference is that specifying a single sample rate performance is only a conventional practice, which is fully specified ADC122S051 with a sample rate range of 500 ksps over 200 ksps. The converter is based on a successive approximation register architecture with internal sampling and hold circuitry. It can be configured to accept one or two inputs at the input signals IN1 and IN2.

Serial data output is direct binary and is compatible with several standards such as SPI™, QSPI ™, MICROWIRE, and many common DSP serial interfaces.

The ADC122S051 operates with a single supply and can range from +2.7 V to +5.25 V Normal power consumption is 3.0 mW and 10 mW using a +3 V or +5 V power supply, respectively. The power-down function reduces power consumption by only 0.14 microwatts and is powered from a +3 V supply, or 0.32 microwatts from a +5 V supply.

The ADC122S051 is packaged in an 8-pin MSOP package. Guaranteed to operate at -40°C industrial temperature range of 85°C.
