  The ADP3339 is part of the ADP33xx family of precision low dropout anyCAP® regulators with an input voltage range of 2.8 V to 6 V and a maximum load current of 1.5 A. The device uses a novel architecture and improved processes to provide superior performance over traditional LDOs, performance advantages over competitive products, and higher output current. Its patented design requires only a 1.0 μF output capacitor to remain stable. The device is insensitive to the equivalent series resistance (ESR) of the output capacitor and is stable with any quality capacitor, including ceramic (MLCC) type capacitors for space-constrained applications. The ADP3339 achieves excellent accuracy of 0.9% at room temperature and 1.5% accuracy for temperature, line, and load changes. At 1.5 A, the voltage difference is only 230 mV (typical). The device also features safe current limiting and thermal overload protection.
