DS99R124Q FPD - Link two-FPD - Link conversion. It translates into a high-speed serial interface with embedded clocks in a single pair (FPD-Link two) with 3 LVDS data/control streams and a set of LVDS clock pairs (FPD-Link). This serial bus solution eliminates skew between clock and data, greatly simplifying system design, reducing connector pin count, reducing interconnect size, weight, and cost, and simplifying PCB layout overall. In addition, internal DC-balanced decoding is used to support AC-coupled interconnects.
The DS99R124Q converter recovers data (RGB) and control signals and extracts the clock from the serial data stream (FPD-Link II). It is able to lock the incoming data stream without the use of a training sequence or special synchronization mode, and does not require a reference clock. Provides a link state (LOCK) output signal.
The adjustable input equalization cable of the serial input stream provides compensation for the loss of transmission medium and reduces the deterministic jitter caused in it. Use of low-voltage differential signaling, output state selection function, and additional output spread spectrum generation EMI minimization.
With few wires connected to the display's physical interface, FPD-Link output with LVDS technology is ideal for high-speed, low-power and low-EMI data transmission.
