The 125MBd Versatile Link HFBR-0507 series is the most cost-effective fiber solution for 125MBd data transmission over 100 meters, with a data link containing the 650nm LED transmitter HFBR-15x7 and the PIN pre-discharge receiver HFBR-25x6, which can be paired with low-cost plastic or quartz fiber. 1mm diameter plastic fiber offers the lowest cost solution up to 25 meters away. With a small cost increase, the lower attenuation of quartz fiber allows data transmission to reach longer distances, and these components are used on high-speed data links at a more competitive cost without being affected by common copper solutions.

The HFBR-15x7 transmitter is designed with high-power 650nm LEDs in a low-cost plastic package that can efficiently couple power to 1mm diameter POF plastic fibers and 200μm HCS hard-clad quartz fibers. With the recommended drive current, the LEDs can operate from 1 to 125MBd, the HFBR-25x6 is a high-bandwidth analog receiver that includes a PIN photodiode and an internal transimpedance amplifier, the application circuit is recommended to operate with 125MBd operation circuitry, the performance of the complete data link is 0 to 25 meters for POF plastic fiber, 0 to 100 meters for 200μm HCS fiber, and a variety of other broad digitization circuits can be combined with the HFBR-0507 Series for performance and cost optimization at higher or lower data rates.
