LM49120 is an audio subsystem designed for portable handheld applications such as compact cellular phones. LM49120 combined into a single 16-bump micro SMD package mono 1.3W speaker amplifier, stereo 85mW/ch output capacitorless headphone amplifier, 32-stop volume control, input mixer/multiplexer.

LM49120 has three input channels: two single-ended stereo inputs and one differential mono input. 32-step digital volume control for each input function. The headphone output stage uses an 8-step (18 dB - 0 dB) attenuator, while the speaker output stage has two selectable (0 dB / +6 dB) gain settings. The programming of digital volume control and mode control goes through a two-wire i 2 C compatible interface.
