illustrate
LMS5214 is a μCap, low dropout regulator with a very low quiescent current of 110μA typical at 80 mA load. It also has a very low dropout voltage, typically at light loads and 300mV of 80mA of 2mV.
LMS5214 is an industry-standard LMS5213 with an enhanced version of the auto-discharge function, when actively released to the ground, the device is an output voltage placed in shutdown mode. It delivers up to 80mA and consumes a typical 10nA in disabled mode, which helps extend battery life.
LMS5214 is optimized work with low value-added, low-cost ceramic capacitors. The output typically requires only a stable output capacitance of 470nF. The enable pin can be connected to the V for convenient device layout.
The low ground current at full load and in a small package makes LMS5214 ideal for battery-powered device applications with portable, small space requirements.
LMS5214 is in a space-saving 5-pin SC70 package. Specified performance is for a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C and fixed voltages of 2.5V, 2.6V, 2.8V, 2.9V, 3.0V, and 3.3V. For other output voltage options, contact National Semiconductor.
