MC33800Engine control integrated circuit
The 33800 is a combined output switch and driver IC that can be used in a wide range of power transmission applications. The IC includes two programmable constant current drivers (CCDs), octal, low-end, serial switches (OSS), and a gate (GD) for six, pre-driven external MOSFETs. This IC features overvoltage, undervoltage, and overheat protection. All drivers and switches, including external MOSFETs, feature overcurrent protection, off-state load open-circuit detection, load short-circuit detection, and fault alarms via the serial peripheral interface (SPI). Other features include: low-power sleep mode, HEGO sensor diagnostics, control via serial and/or parallel input/output, PWM functionality, and programmable current output jitter. These features, along with cost-effective packaging, make the 33800 an ideal choice for powertrain engine control applications.
