The SP540-X is a single-pole, single-throw, normally open multi-purpose DC solid state relay. It is used to replace electromechanical relays in critical applications requiring fast switching and solid-state reliability. The relay is driven by an integrated circuit with an enhanced DMOS transistor. The integrated circuit is optocoupled to a light-emitting diode. An input resistor of 300 ohms in series with the LED also provides the circuit.
