Product Introduction

The UCC38083/4/5/6 is a series of BiCMOS pulse-width modulation (PWM) DC-to-DC or off-line fixed-frequency current-mode switching power controllers. This dual output stage configuration is a push-pull topology. Half of the oscillators of the two output switches use one switch flip-flop frequency. The dead zone time between two outputs is typically 110 nanoseconds, limiting the duty cycle to less than 50% per output.

The new UCC3808x family is based on UCC3808A architecture. Key differences include a programmable slope compensation ramp to CS signal and increased relocation of error amplifiers. Currently, the SSET pin flows through an external resistor to set the severity of the ramp compensation function internally monitored.
