The bq29330 is a 2-, 3-, or 4-cell lithium-ion battery pack fully protected analog front-end (AFE) IC that integrates a 2.5 volt, 16 mA, and 3.3 volt, 25 mA low-dropout regulator (LDO) regulator. The bq29330 is also integrated with an I^{2 C}Compatible interface output status of battery extraction parameters such as battery voltage, single cell battery voltage and control. Other parameters such as current protection thresholds and delay are also programmed into the bq29330 to improve the flexibility of the battery management system.

The bq29330 provides safety under discharge conditions, overload, short circuit responsibility, and short circuit, and can also provide battery overvoltage, battery voltage and battery management host and battery undervoltage protection.
