Intersil's ISL28133 is a micropower, zero-drift, rail-to-rail output operational amplifier optimized for single-supply operation at 1.65V~5.5V. Due to its ultra-low supply current and wide input range, the ISL28133 is ideal for process control or industrial equipment, portable medical systems, data acquisition products, diagnostic systems, or any application that requires the very high accuracy required by the sensor front end while having a limited power budget. The ISL28133 can operate down to 1.65V, making it also ideal for handheld devices with two AA batteries or single-cell lithium batteries.
With an input bias voltage of 8 μV, an output noise peak-to-peak of only 1.1 μV, and a typical temperature drift of 20 nV/°C, the ISL28133 provides the highest accuracy for signal chains in applications requiring ultralow dc noise and high gain accuracy, such as the amplifier front end of a sensor.
The ISL28133 is suitable for sensing amplifier front ends for pressure, temperature, or other inertial sensors. Other applications include low impedance current sensing, which is common in power and security monitoring applications, where accuracy at high gain is a determining factor. The maximum bias drift of the device is only 0.075μV/°C, which can meet the accuracy requirements of applications over a wide temperature range. The low maximum current of 25μA greatly reduces power consumption in portable applications with a maximum input bias current of only 300pA. This op amp operates over the extended temperature range of -40°C~+125°C.
