The F2802x Piccolo ™ microcontroller family provides the C28x's ™ highly integrated control peripheral coupling core with low-pin-count devices. This family is code compatible with the previous C28x-based code, while providing a highly integrated analogue.

An internal voltage regulator that allows single-rail operation. Enhanced to the HRPWM module, resulting in double-edge control (frequency modulation). An internal 10-bit analog comparator reference has been added and can be sent directly to the control PWM output. The ADC converts a fixed full-scale range from 0 to 3.3 V and supports the rate metric V_REFHI/Video_REFLOCite. The ADC's interface is optimized for low overhead/latency.
