The TAS5602 is a 20-watt (per channel) high efficiency, stereo digital amplifier for driving 4 single-ended speakers, 2 bridged speakers, or single and bridged power stage load combinations. The TAS5602 can drive impedance speakers as low as 4Ω. The TAS5602 high efficiency eliminates the need for an external heat sink.

A simple interface with the PWM of the digital audio processor is shown. The TAS5602 is fully protected against short-circuit and thermal protection as well as overvoltage and undervoltage protection faults. Faults are reported to the processor to prevent damage to the device in case of overload.
