The TL5001 and TL5001A incorporate all the functions required for pulse-width modulation (PWM) control circuitry on a single chip. Designed primarily for power control, the TL5001/A contains an error amplifier, voltage regulator, oscillator, a dead-time controlled input PWM comparator, undervoltage lockout (UVLO), short-circuit protection (SCP), and an open-collector output transistor. The TL5001A is a typical comparison of ± 3% voltage tolerance, referring to the TL5001 ±5%.

The error amplifier has a common-mode voltage range of 0 V to 1.5 V, and the noninverting input of the amplifier is connected to the 1 V reference. The dead time control (DTC) can be set to provide an external resistance between the deposit and GND from 0% to 100% of the dead time.
