TPS40180 single-phase stackable controller

The TPS40180 is a stackable, single-phase synchronous buck controller. Allows stacking of modular power supply designs, where multiple modules can achieve the required output power in parallel, if the output power requirement cannot be connected by one module. Stacking modules can be configured to switch at different times while establishing a multi-phase power frequency on the same basis. Up to 8 phases can be configured and multiple modules can be set for noninverting switches if required. Input and output ripple currents decrease when the module is stacked. Stacking modules that can be used to generate separate output rails into a single railroad or a combination of both, load sharing phase information to reduce input ripple current in the system.
