Product introduction

The programmable BUF12840 gamma channel provides 12 reads with an external electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (EEPROM).

There are two separate BUF12840 memory banks that can store two different gamma curves at the same time to facilitate switching between gamma curves.

All gamma channels are supplied rail-to-rail outputs, typically within 200mV swing with 5mA either supplying rail loads.All channel line interfaces are programmed to support standard operation to 400kHz and high-speed data transmission to 3.4MHz.

The BUF12840 was produced using Texas Instruments' proprietary, state-of-the-art, high-voltage CMOS process.This process provides very dense logic operation and a high supply voltage of 20V.
