The UCx907 family of load-sharing controller ICs provides all the necessary functions to allow multiple independent power modules to be connected in parallel so that each module provides only its proportion of the overall load current.

This sharing is controlled by a voltage feedback amplifier reference that can independently respond to voltage adjustments for a common shared bus, producing commands for each module's power stage. By monitoring the current of each module, the current sharing bus determines that the parallel circuit module usually has the highest output current, and with this unit designated as the master, adjust all other modules to increase their output current at 2.
