The LM2703 is available in a small 5-pin SOT-23 package in a micropower boost DC/DC. A current-limited, fixed-off-time control scheme saves high efficiency in operating current, resulting in a wide range of load conditions. The switch at 22V allows the output voltage to be as high as 21V. The low 400ns off-time allows the use of tiny, low-profile inductors and capacitors to minimize the size and cost of space-conscious portable applications. The LM2703 is ideal for white LED applications where LCDs require low current and high efficiency, as well as mobile phone backlit panels. The LM2703 can drive up to 4 white LEDs from a single cell Li-ion battery.
