The LM27313 switching regulator is a fixed operating frequency current mode boost converter with 1.6 MHz.

The authors used the SOT-23 package, which made it possible by 800 mA switching with minimal losses, small inductors and extremely high power density of capacitors. The 30V internal switch makes these solutions perfect for increasing the voltage to 5V to 28V.

This part of the logic level shutdown pin can be used to reduce quiescent current and extend battery life.

Protection is through cycle-by-cycle current limiting and thermal shutdown. Internal compensation simplifies design and reduces component count.
