The LM34919 step of the switching regulator is required to implement all the features of a low-cost, high-efficiency, buck bias regulator that provides a load capacity of 0.6A. This buck regulator contains an N-channel buck switch in a micro SMD package. The constant on-time feedback regulation loop compensation scheme eliminates the need for fast load transient response, results, and simplifies circuit design. The operating frequency remains dependent on the line and load due to the inverse relationship between input voltage and on-time. Smooth transition in the valley, from current limit current limit detection results in constant current constant voltage mode, reducing frequency and output voltage without foldback. Other features include VCC undervoltage lockout, overtemperature shutdown, gate drive undervoltage lockout, and maximum duty cycle limit.
