Description

The LM2660/LM2661 CMOS charge pump voltage converters reverse the positive voltage corresponding to the negative voltage in the range of 1.5V to 5.5V. The LM2660/LM2661 uses two low-cost capacitors to provide no cost, size, and EMI 100 output current with an inductor-based converter. With operating at just 120μA, maximum load operating efficiency >90% current, the LM2660/LM2661 provides ideal performance for battery-powered systems. The LM2660/LM2661 can also be used as a positive voltage multiplier.

The frequency of the oscillator can be reduced by adding an external capacitor to the OSC pin. In addition, the OSC pin can be used to drive the external clock LM2660/LM2661. For the LM2660, a frequency control (FC) pin selects the frequency of the 10 kHz or 80 kHz oscillator. For the LM2661, the external off (SD) pin replaces the FC pin. The SD pin can be used to shut down the device, reducing quiescent current by 0.5μA. The oscillation frequency for LM2661 is 80 kHz.
