LMH0387 chip 3 Gbps HD/SD SDI Configurable I/O Adaptive Cable Equalizer/Cable Driver provides a single chip interface for BNC. The device can be configured to receive as an equalizer, transmit data over a coaxial cable as a cable driver, or in data input mode in output mode. The same I/O pins are used for both input and output functions of the device, giving system designers the flexibility to use BNCs connected to the device as inputs or outputs.
LMH0387 chip provides designers with flexibility in system design and faster time-to-market. The device operates at a wide range of data transfer rates from 125 Mbps to 2.97 Gbps (DC 2.97 Gbps cable when driving), and supports SMPTE 424M, SMPTE 292M, SMPTE 344M and SMPTE 259M. Return loss network integration devices so that no external components must comply with SMPTE return loss specifications.
In input mode, the LMH0387 chip's features include power-saving sleep mode, programmable output common-mode voltage and swing, cable length indication, start-up amplitude optimization, input signal detection, SPI interface. In output mode, the LMH0387 chip's features include two SMPTE 424M/292M and SMPTE 259M adhering to selectable slew rate and yield drop control drive power supplies.
The device is obtained in a 7× 7mm 48-pin thin laminated chip-level package (TCSP).
