The LP5552 Energy Management Unit is a PWI The 2.0 Energy Management Unit (EMU) is designed to reduce power consumption in low-power, portable applications.

The LP5552 Energy Management Unit contains variable voltage power supply to 2 advanced SoCs or processors, digitally controlled switching regulators. The device also integrates five programmable low-dropout, low-noise linear regulators for driving I/O, peripheral logic blocks, auxiliary system functions, and keeping memory in shutdown mode (dual domain).

The device controls the high-speed serial PWI 2.0 open standard interface. Operates in partnership with PowerWise of the LP5552 Energy Management Unit ® Technology-compatible processors to optimize supply voltage adaptability (AVS - Adaptive Voltage Scaling) to process and temperature changes. It also supports dynamic voltage scaling (DVS) using pre-characterized lookup table frequency/voltage pairs.
