The LM5007 Switching Regulator features all the functions needed to implement a low-cost, high-efficiency, buck bias regulator. This high voltage regulator contains an 80 V, 0.7 A N channel step-down switch. The device is easy to apply and is available in MSOP-8 and thermally enhanced LLP-8 packages. The regulator is inversely proportional to the use time of hysteresis control, VINPlan. This feature allows operating frequency to keep relative loads and input voltages constantly changing. Hysteresis control eliminates the need for control loop compensation while providing very fast load transient response. One is to implement smart current limiting at the LM5007 where the off-time is inversely proportional to VOUTForced. This current limit reduces load current foldback. Other protection features include thermal shutdown, VCC undervoltage lockout, gate drive undervoltage lockout, and maximum duty cycle limit
