While the LM25069 actively hot-swappable controller provides intelligent control of the supply voltage, load is removed from the field system backplane or other "hot" power circuit cards. The LM25069 also provides inrush current control to limit system voltage dips and transients. Current limit and external series adjustment of the power dissipation of the N-channel MOSFET are programmable to ensure operation in a safe operating area (SOA). The power good output indicates when the output voltage is at 1.3V at the input voltage. Input undervoltage and overvoltage lockout levels and hysteresis are programmable, as well as initial insertion delay time and fault detection time. While the LM25069-1 latches up, fault detection while the LM25069-2 automatically fixes the duty cycle to restart. The LM25069 is available in a 10-pin MSOP package.
