The LTC ® 1266 family is a synchronous switching regulator controller with automatic Burst Mode ™ operation to maintain high efficiency at low output currents. These devices drive external power MOSFETs with a constant off-time current mode architecture with switching frequencies up to 400kHz, providing constant inductor current ripple. They can drive an N-channel or P-channel upper MOSFET. With an external current sense resistor, the operating current level is user-programmable. Wide input voltage range from 3.5V to 18V (20V max). The constant off-time architecture provides low dropout regulation by limited upper MOSFETs_targetR_{DS（ON），（}When using P-channel) of the inductor and the resistance of the current sense resistor.
