LTC^®The 1642 is a 16-pin hot-swappable^TMController that allows the board to be safely inserted and removed from the live backplane. Using an external N-channel MOSFET, the board's supply voltage can be suffocated enough for an adjustable rate. The high-side switching driver controls the gate of the N-channel with a supply voltage above 2.97V.

The SENSE pin allows the foldback load current to limit the delay time after the circuit breaker is operated. The delay allows a portion of the electrical current limit. The CRWBR output can be used to trigger the thyristor load protection crowbar if the input supply exceeds an adjustable threshold. When the supply voltage falls below an adjustable threshold, the RESET output can generate an adjustable system reset delay. Power supply for the pin cycle plate.
