™The LT 1130A/LT1140A RS232 Driver/Receive feature features special bipolar building technology that protects the driver beyond fault conditions and receives a range of regulations for RS232. Driver outputs and receiver inputs can be shorted to ± 30V without damaging the device or power generator. In addition, the RS232 I/O pins are resilient to multiple ± 10kV ESD shocks. An advanced driver output stage operates at frequencies up to 250kbaud while driving large capacitive loads. The supply current is typically 12 mA, which is competitive for CMOS devices. Several members of the series include flexible business model control. The driver disable pin disables the ON/OFF pins of the driver and charge pump, shutting down all circuitry. While off, the driver and receive assume a high impedance output state.
