The LM48555 chip is an audio power amplifier designed for applications such as mobile phones, smartphones, PDAs and other portable devices to drive ceramic speakers. The LM48555 chip produces less than 1% THD+N 15.7VtargetPolypropylene while operating from a 3.2V power supply. The LM48555 chip features a low-power shutdown mode to improve noise suppression with differential inputs.

The LM48555 chip uses advanced click-and-pop suppression to eliminate audible on- and off-transients. In addition, the integrated boost regulator features a soft-start function to minimize transient currents at power-up

Boomer audio power amplifiers are designed to provide high quality output power with minimal external component count. The LM48555 chip uses no bootstrap capacitors or snubber circuitry.

The LM48555 chip is unity-gain stable and uses external gain to set resistors.
