description
The LTC ® 1334 is a low power CMOS bidirectional transceiver with two reconfigurable interface ports. It can be configured as two RS485 differential ports, two dual RS232 single-ended ports or one RS485 differential port and one dual RS232 single-ended port. The on-board charge pump requires four 0.1μF capacitors to generate both positive and negative supplies, allowing the RS232 driver to meet the RS232's ± 5V output swing with only a single 5V supply requirement. Shutdown mode, lowered meCCThe supply current is reduced to 10μA. The RS232 transceiver is fully compliant with the RS232 specification. RS485 transceivers RS485 and RS422 specifications are fully compliant. All interface drivers are short-circuit protected and thermal shutdown protected. The RS485 driver output is forced into high impedance, which is allowed when the output enable pin is allowed to hold or even force beyond the power rail or power off. Two driver outputs and receiver inputs ± 10kV ESD protection. Loopback mode allows the driver output to be connected to the receiver input diagnostic self-test.
