The LM193 series consists of two independent precision voltage comparators compared to two of which are designed to operate over a voltage range from a single supply with a low offset voltage specification of up to 2.0 mV. It is also possible to operate from splitting the power supply and the low supply current consumption is independent of the amplitude of the power supply voltage. These comparisons also have a unique feature of the input common-mode voltage range including ground, although operated from a single supply voltage.
Applications include analog-to-digital converters with relatively simple limits, pulse, square wave and time delay generators, MOS clock timers for a wide range of VCOs, multivibrators and high-voltage digital logic gates. The LM193 series is designed to interface directly with TTL and CMOS. When running from plus and minus power supplies, the LM193 series interfaces directly with MOS logic, and its low power consumption is a clear advantage over the standard.
