The RH1016 is an UltraFastTM
A 10ns comparator that interfaces directly to TTL/CMOS logic circuits and operates from a ±5V or single 5V supply. Tight offset voltage specifications and high gain allow the RH1016 to be used in precision applications. Matched complementary outputs further extend the comparator's versatility.
A unique output stage provides active drive in both positive and negative directions and is designed to maximize speed for TTL/CMOS logic circuits or passive loads without the high current spikes common in traditional output stages. This allows the RH1016 to stabilize when the output is in the active region, greatly mitigating the problem of output "pulse interference" when the input signal is moving slowly or low.
The RH1016 has a LATCH pin that retains input data on the output when held high. The quiescent negative supply current is only 3mA. This makes it possible to drive the negative supply pin from virtually any supply voltage with a simple resistive voltage divider. Device performance is not affected by negative supply voltage variations.
Wafer batches are processed using Linear Technology's Class S process-to-yield circuitry for use in demanding military applications.
