The LTC ® 1385 is an ultralow power, 2-driver/2-receiver EIA/TIA-562 transceiver that operates from a single 3.3V supply. The charge pump requires only four space-saving 0.1μF capacitors.
The transceiver operates in one of three modes: normal, driver disabled, or off. In normal mode, IConsumer CouncilOnly 200μA at unload. In driver disable mode, the charge pump shuts down and is forced into a tri-state driver output, with both receivers remaining active, and ICCDrop to 35μA. In the shutdown state, everything is turned off and ICCDrop to 0.2μA.
The LTC1385 is fully compliant with all data rate and voltage TIA/EIA-562 specifications. The transceiver can run on a 1000pF, 3K ohm load of up to 120kbaud. Both driver outputs and receiver inputs are ± 25V without damage and can survive up to ± 10kV ESD shock.
