The DS16F95A differential bus transceiver is a monolithic integrated circuit with balanced multipoint bus transmission lines designed for bidirectional data communication. The transceiver complies with both TIA/EIA-485-A and TIA/EIA-422-B Standard.

The DS16F95A offers improved performance due to the use of L-FAST bipolar technology. L-FAST technology allows for higher speeds and lower currents, minimizing gate delay time. The DS16F95A features an extended temperature range and is available in a rugged ceramic package.

The DS16F95A combines a three-state differential line driver with a differential input line receiver that operate from a single 5.0V supply. Drive and receive, which can be actively enabled by external connection to the directional control function. The driver differential output and receiver differential input are internally connected together to form a differential input/output (I/O) bus port designed to provide minimal load on the bus when the driver is disabled or when V CC = 0V。 These ports feature a wide range of positive and negative common-mode voltages, making the equipment suitable for multi-point applications in noisy environments.

The driver is designed to accommodate loads up to 60 mA sinking or source currents and has positive and negative current protection line fault conditions.

The device is available in a rugged 8-lead ceramic DIP package and features a temperature range of -55°C to +180°C in the extended stage.
