AFCT-5611Z

The Avago AFCT-5611Z/AFBR-56xxZ/AFCT-56xxZ interface converter family complies with the industry standard Gigabit Ethernet Converter GBIC Specification Revision 5.4. This family of products provides a unified form factor for various connection standards for transmission media. These converters can be inserted or removed from the carrier chassis without reducing the power of the host system.

These converters are suitable for interconnection in Gigabit Ethernet hub and switch environments. The design of these converters is also useful for other high-performance, point-to-point communications that require gigabit interconnects. Since the converter is hot-swappable, simply plug in a different type of converter to replace the system configuration.
