Overview:
The TSL2581 and TSL2583 are very sensitive to changing light intensity in light-to-digital converters with direct I2C interface digital signal output capabilities. Each device integrates a broadband photodiode (visible plus infrared) and an infrared response, and a single CMOS integrated circuit can provide an effective photodiode with a dynamic range (16-bit resolution) near the photopic response. Two integrated ADCs convert to digital outputs that represent the current of the radiometric photodiode on each channel. This digital output can be input to a microprocessor to approximate the human eye response using an empirical formula for lux illuminance (ambient light level). The TSL2581 device supports legacy horizontal style interrupts that remain in effect until the firmware clears it. Product Features:
