Proximity detection for ALS: TSL2771
Overview:
The TSL2771 device home provides an ambient light sensor (ALS) and proximity detection (when an infrared lamp is coupled with an external one). The light intensity of ALS is close to that of the human eye in response to various lighting conditions through various attenuating materials. The proximity detection feature allows large operations using dark glass, such as mobile phones or longer distance measurement applications, such as displays or laptops, to detect the presence of a dynamic range behind the short range of detection. Programmable proximity detection enables continuous measurement over the entire range. In addition, the internal state machine provides low-power modes for low-power modes in ALS and proximity measurements, providing very low average power consumption between the device's ability to put in.
