The ISL78310 is a low dropout voltage, high current, single output LDO 1A output current specification. This section drops to 2.2V and up to 6V input voltage. Fixed and external resistors are available to regulate output voltages from 0.8V to 5V. Custom voltage options are available upon request for applications, those wishing to set the inrush current to less than the current limit section, or applications requiring on-time control, external capacitors can be placed in soft maximum control to start pins. A supply-independent enable signal allows a portion of the switch to a low quiescent current shutdown mode. Submicron CMOS process for optimal simulation performance and overall value in this series. This CMOS LDO consumes significantly less than the static (ground terminal) current dual very low dropout regulators, translating into a more efficient load feature package with a small footprint. Quiescent current optimization achieves a very fast load transient response. The ISL78310 is both AEC-Q100 rated and TS16949 compliant. The ISL78310 is rated in the automotive temperature range (-40°C to +125°C).
