  • description

    LTM®The 8061 is a high efficiency, 32V, 2A μModule®Stand-alone lithium-ion battery charger. The device is optimized for single-cell and two-cell battery packs and has fixed float voltage options: 4.1V, 4.2V, 8.2V, and 8.4V. The LTM8061 offers a constant-current/constant-voltage charging feature with a maximum charge current of up to 2A. A pre-check function trickles on a depleted battery, and if the battery does not respond to pre-check, the dead battery detection circuit signals and pauses charging.

    The LTM8061 can be configured to terminate charge operation when the charge current is reduced to 1/10th of the set maximum current, or an internal timer can be used if a time-based charge termination scheme is desired. Once the charging operation is terminated, the LTM8061 enters a low current standby mode. If the battery voltage drops by 2.5% from the float voltage, or if a new battery is inserted into a charging system, the auto-restart function will start a new charging cycle.

    The LTM8061 is available in a thermally enhanced compact (9mm × 15mm × 4.32mm) molded resin pad grid array (LGA) package for automated assembly with standard surface mount equipment. The LTM8061 is RoHS compliant.
