The ISL58327 light sensor IC has a wide spectral sensitivity of light from 400nm to 1000nm. For multiple light source applications, such as laser projectors-based, it is good. The ISL58327 has three sets of gain registers for two banks. For pico projector applications, two bank gain registers that can be used to monitor level deviations and peak levels for each wavelength. The HL pins exchanged by the bank are signaled via a TTL-compliant logic. Three sets of gain registers can be used to adjust the conversion gain of each red, green, or blue laser or any wavelength of light to electricity in the applied spectral range. The ISL58327 is a single-chip device with a 0.7 mm diameter photodetector in the center of the mold. Through the TIA, a fine gain amplifier, the output driver converts the current signal of the amplified picture into a current voltage. The ISL58327 output can be configured as differential or single-ended. The changes obtained according to each wavelength are through the I2C serial interface. Registers can be updated in real time while operating the device.

The ISL58327 operates from a single +5 V power supply. This is a space-saving 9-ball glass top, BGA package.
