description
The MAXQ3180 is a dedicated power measurement front end that collects and calculates power quality parameters for multiphase voltage, current, power, energy, and many other metered and multiphase loads. The results of the computation can be retrieved via an external host via the on-chip serial peripheral interface (SPI™) bus. The bus can also be used to externally master configure the operation of the MAXQ3180 and monitor the status of operation.
The MAXQ3180 performs voltage and current measurements and can measure up to seven external differential signal pairs using an integrated ADC. The eighth differential signal pair is used to measure the die temperature. The internal amplifier automatically adjusts the current channel gain to compensate for the signal level of the low current channel.
