description

LT^®The 3590 is a fixed frequency buck mode converter designed to drive up to 10 series LEDs from a single 48V DC supply. The series connection of the LEDs provides equal LED current (up to 50mA), resulting in uniform brightness and eliminating the need for ballast resistors. A fixed-frequency, current-mode architecture enables stable operation over a wide range of input voltage and output voltages.

The high switching frequency of 850kHz allows the use of tiny, low profile inductors and capacitors. A single pin performs shutdown and accurate LED dimming control. Power switches, Schottky diodes, and control circuitry are built into a space-saving SC70 package or a 2mm × 2mm DFN package designed for a small converter footprint and low device cost.
