  • description

    LT®The 3596 is a 60V step-down LED driver. It achieves 10,000:1 digital PWM dimming at 100Hz and can drive up to 10 LEDs with a fast NPN current source per channel. Alternatively, 100:1 LED dimming can be implemented using analog control at the CTRL1-3 pin.

    The buck switching frequency is programmable from 200kHz to 1MHz or synchronized to an external clock. The LT3596 also provides maximum LED brightness while following manufacturer-defined thermal derating specifications. The derating temperature is set by placing a negative temperature coefficient (NTC) resistor on the main control pin.

    LT3596 to VOUTAdaptive control for optimal efficiency. Other features include 1.5% LED current matching accuracy between channels, open-LED reporting, short-circuit LED pin protection and reporting, programmable LED current, and programmable temperature protection.
