The TW9912 is a low-power NTSC/PAL/SECAM video decoder chip that also supports analog component video inputs. The video decoder decodes baseband analog CVBS or S-video signals into digital 8-bit 4:2:2 YCbCr format. Analog component video digitization to 8-bit YCbCr format. The digital output supports the standard BT.656 format for interlaced video. When receiving a progressive component input or converting interlaced video into progressive format via an internal deinterlacing engine, it can also output progressive BT.656 format. The TW9912 uses analog and digital I/O power supplies, 3.3V supply voltage and 1.8V. A single 27MHz crystal is required to decode all analog video standards. The chip includes an analog front-end input source selection, variable gain amplifier, analog-to-digital converter, a Y/C split circuit, multi-standard color decoder (BGHI PAL standard, PAL M, PAL printing, print combination PAL standard, NTSC M, NTSC standard 4.43 and SECAM) and synchronization circuitry. Complete high-quality adaptive 4H to reduce cross-color and cross-brightness Comb filter Y/C separation. Advanced synchronous processing circuitry can produce stable pictures, non-standard and weak signals. The output line of the decoder locks its input. The TW9912 also includes circuits to detect and process vertical blanking interval (VBI) signals, including closed headers and WSS. This piece and process VBI data output is read out through host interface registers. It also detects AGC pulses and colorstripe pulse signals contained in analog copy protection. A 2-wire serial host interface is designed to simplify system integration. Through this interface, all functions can be controlled.ISL97686
