description

LTC®The 3215 is a low noise, high current charge pump DC/DC converter designed for high current supplyLEDDesigned to supply power. The device includes an accurate programmable current source capable of driving loads up to 700mA from a 2.9V to 4.4V input. The low external component count (2 jump capacitors, 1 programming resistor and 2 bypass capacitors) makes the LTC3215 ideal for small battery-powered applications.

A built-in soft-start circuit avoids excessive inrush current during start-up. The high switching frequency allows the use of small external capacitors. The LED current is programmed using an external resistor. Combine the LED with V during downtimeINDisconnection.

An ultra-low dropout current source maintains accurate LED current at very low ILED voltages. The automatic mode switching function works by monitoring the voltage across the LED current source and only detects ILEDSwitch modes at differential pressure to optimize efficiency. The LTC3215 is available in a low profile 3mm × 3mm 10-lead DFN package.
