ISL58303, ISL58304 are high-speed three-output laser diode drivers that support Pico projection modules for laser light sources with continuous color gamut. The output channels feature independent programmable bias current and threshold adjustments, supporting a wide range of laser diode manufacturers. Both laser diode drivers offer excellent power efficiency and high system integration, enabling compact, cost-effective system designs.

The system is via a high-speed serial bus and is interfaced by SEN, SCLK and SDIO. The initialization of the internal registers is reset after power-up, the installer is run, and the laser intensity data for each output channel is communicated through this bus.

To assist in reducing laser speckle, this laser diode driver has high frequency modulation input to modulated laser pulses.

For laser operation safety, the hardware enable signal (CE) phase is associated with an internal register bit. Both parties are set to enable the device. This prevents unexpected failures that could cause unwanted laser output.
