The XC6217 series is a high-precision, low-noise, high-speed, low-dropout voltage regulator chip with energy-saving function (GO). This series of chips uses Torex's CMOS production process and features high speed, ripple suppression and low input-output voltage difference. The XC6217 series includes a reference voltage circuit, error amplifier, current limiter, phase compensator, and driver transistor.
The chip's energy-saving function (GO) can automatically switch to two operating states of high-speed mode (HS) and energy-saving mode (PS) through the change of load current, so that it can work at high speed, low power consumption, and high efficiency according to the customer's application. This switching point is set inside the chip.
When a fixed high is added to the GO pin, the chip only operates in high-speed mode. When the CE pin is set low, the chip stops working, and the XC6217B/D series can form a short circuit through the switch between VOUT and VSS inside the chip, causing the output capacitor (CL) to discharge rapidly and accelerate the voltage drop on the VOUT pin to VSS.
The output capacitors of the XC6217 series can use ceramic capacitors with low ESR.
The output voltage of the XC6217 family is selected from 0.8V to 4.0V in 0.05V steps.
An on-chip current limiter provides output short-circuit protection.
