The built-in overcurrent protection circuit and overheat protection circuit automatically start working when the output current reaches the limit current or the junction temperature reaches the limit temperature, which plays the role of protecting the IC. You can choose SOT-25, SOT89-5, USP-6C, TO-252 and other packages according to the application.
