DS3234SN Ultra-high precision real-time clock
The DS3234 is a low-cost, ultra-high-precision, SPI™ bus-based real-time clock (RTC) with integrated temperature-compensated crystal oscillators (TCXOs) and crystals. The DS3234 has built-in, temperature-compensated precision voltage references and comparator circuitry to monitor VCC. When VCC drops below the supply failure voltage (VPF), the device generates a /RST output; When the VCC falls below both VPF and VBAT, the device will disable read/write access. The device also monitors the /RST pin and can be used as a push-button input to generate a μP reset. When the device's primary power supply is interrupted, the device switches to the backup power input to maintain accurate timing. The integrated crystal resonator enhances the long-term accuracy of the device while reducing the number of parts on the production line. The DS3234 is available in both commercial and industrial temperature ranges and is available in an industry-standard 300mil, 20-pin SO package.
