AD9218BST-105 10-bit, 40/65/80/105 MSPS, 3 V, dual-core ADC

The AD9218 is a dual-core, 10-bit, monolithic sample-to-digital converter (ADC) with on-chip sample-and-hold circuitry that offers low cost, low power, small size, and ease of use. It operates at a slew rate of 105 MSPS and has excellent dynamic performance over the entire operating range. Each channel can operate independently.

The ADC requires only a single 3.0 V (2.7 V to 3.6 V) supply and a clock to perform at full performance. For most applications, no external reference or driver is required. The digital outputs are TTL/CMOS compatible, and a separate output supply pin supports a 3.3 V or 2.5 V logic interface.

The clock input is TTL/CMOS compatible, and the 10-bit digital output can operate from a 3.0 V (2.5 V to 3.6 V) supply. Users have the option to offer a variety of power-saving modes, digital data formats, and combinations of digital data timing schemes. In power-down mode, the digital output is set to a high-impedance state.

1. Low power consumption: only 275 mW (105 MSPS) per channel; While maintaining high AC performance, power consumption at other speed classes is proportionally reduced.
2. Pin compatible upgrades: 8-bit devices can be easily upgraded to 10-bit devices and are pin-compatible with the 8-bit AD9288 dual-core ADC.
3. Easy to use: On-chip reference voltage and user control options make the system design more flexible.
4. High performance: At the Nyquist input frequency, the signal-to-noise ratio remains at 54 dB (105 MSPS).
5. Very low channel crosstalk: -75 dBc.
6. Manufactured using advanced CMOS process, available in 48-pin thin quad flat package (7 mm × 7 mm LQFP) with a specified temperature range of -40°C to +85°C industrial temperature range.
